DIFFERENCES IN STRUCTURE

Structures of manga and graphic novels are quite similar. They use a combination of words and pictures in a sequence. On the other hand, doodle fiction shows the pictures and texts in a way like articles are written.

DIFFERENCES IN ELEMENTS

The elements of manga are the pictures, words including onomatopoeias, balloon that indicates the words or conversation and frame that surrounds the pictures, which is quite similar with graphic novels.  On the other hand, doodle fiction incorporates handwritten graphics in telling the story, sometimes adding humorous elements.

SIMILARITIES

Can also be referred to as “picture books”. With the use of drawing and  images, it gives a better illustration of the context.
